servo motor from frequency converter ?, Yes a servo driver is pretty much a frequency converter with feedback so now with the option encoder card this is a servo driver :)

Это не совсем сервомотор, как вы понимаете. Это не синхронник, а простой асинхронник, только с энкодером. Это из серии моторов Mige MY235, например. У меня такой же. Для остановки в определённой позиции частотник должен иметь опцию подключения энкодера.

@@РусланЧПУ Well a servo can be many things, synchronous, asynchronous, hydraulic etc. The vfd har encoder inputs and works in closed loop with the motor.

Hello, we are useing a machtric s3800d with encoder option card, but we stopped using that as it was a bit unpredictable to program and switched to Delta C2000 series instead.

@@jbcncsweden Is Delta C2000 OK? I just bought a used AC Fanuc spindle 2.2kw speed 10000/20000- Rate AMP 13A. Do you know well Yaskawa A1000? Can it drive my Fanuc motor?

@@privatestaticstringwily4325 Yes with encoder option card, and it also seem to need a plc program to index the motor which my seller provided for me.

@@barbeirorp I use a regular induktion motor with a custum encoder, so only about 4500rpm max but it was hard to find a servo spindle motor that fit in the tight space.

@@jbcncsweden i use the original ( really .... Hard to find motor fit in a space of machine.... ) . The fanuc 3s in a delta c2000 Works and Works with 6000rpm .... But the spindle orientation .... And i not undestand... Stop at offset 100 pulses

Its a Mige motor, and the inverter is an Machtric but it was too unpredictable to program so I use Delta c2000 series now for similar projects.

@@renatomasias1368 It was unpredictable to program, not logical, but when I got it right it worked reliable.

Hello, I have no experience with that driver but usually you have two inputs, one for fwd and one for rev, or depending on the driver and settings maybe its set to receive -10 to +10 where -10 i full reverse. There is usually a parameter to choose drive mode, and sometimes there is a parameter to enable reverse.

Speed can be controlled with an analog input or modbus, indexing is just an input but if you would like to position it then that would also be possible with modbus.

It gets really strong at low speeds so that you can do drilling and tapping operations without a gearbox and the encoder feedback enables rigid tapping operations.

@@jbcncsweden I see! Thank you. What kind of motor is that? I assume since it's a spindle motor it wouldn't be a stepper, but other motors (from the little I understand) don't often have high torque at low speeds.

@@Tristoo Its a spindle servo motor and its the closed loop that make the low speed hight torque possible. Its also possible to add an encoder to a normal 3-phase induction motor and get high torque at low speeds.

Nope, but as 7 just replaced everything there was not much need for schematics.

It depends, if its a asynchronous motor it can be controlled with this inverter. A conventional servo driver is not so different from a vfd.

For orientation, a shaft encoder is required. Most common is a incremental encoder with index.

Well probably not from zero but from 100 to 12000, although it has not got much torque at that low speeds.
